Editor: This past week the Democrat National Committee declared that they were the official party of the religiously unaffiliated, i.e. Godless, voters. Their party platform includes all of the interests of those who are without any affiliation with God. This is the most truthful and honest statement they have ever made. Every American voter needs to carefully search his or her heart and mind before voting in the next election as to who they are supporting with their vote. Any political party that supports abortion is a party without God. You are either with God or without God — there is no middle ground.

I especially liked a comment made by Pete Buttigieg about all Americans having the rights in our Constitution no matter which religion they belong to even if they don't believe in God. Exactly what our Constitution states, no preference to anyone because of their religious beliefs. For the record I believe in God and Jesus Christ but, I do not consider myself a christian. Jesus did not tell us to gang together to push our beliefs on others and judge them, he instructed us to Love each other as he Loved us. Fortunately, we will all be judged by God with Jesus there to save us. I am saddened to see so many brothers and sisters led astray by political parties rather than truly following God's word and the teachings of Jesus.

All politics and propaganda, this letter. I would rather be a member of a political party that upholds the Constitution of the United States, then one that would put aside those principles to win power. From Article VI.

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

If no religious test is required for office, why on earth should a political party affliation be dependent on a religious (or as Mr Warner calls it - with God) affiliation? The DNC resolution does not say those with religion (or as Mr Warner says - with God) cannot be part of the Democratic Party, and plenty of both religious and with God people are registered Democrats. So twist it any way you like, ultimately most Americans have enough common sense to see through false correlations (like one's stance on abortion laws defining if one is with or without God) and political BS.

Simply because someone is religiously unaffiliated does not mean they are Godless. The truly Godless are those who rip children from the arms of their parents and lock them in privately owned concentration camps without the most basic of care. The issue of abortion comes down to not interfering in the very personal and private decision of a woman to undergo a legal medial procedure without the interference of nattering busybodies. When it comes to Republicans and their treatment of any group they do like - Jesus weeps.

Sorry, should be "they do NOT like..." Sorry for any confusion.

“Medial”? “Because the only way the ignorant can ever learn is by being corrected. Do not consider it as a criticism, but a learning experience. BTW, the end of a question should have a “?”. Rovr 09/05/2019” “Jesus weeps” Have a great day Hwy [thumbup][beam]

Rovr becoming religious? Yes, blame the Republicans when the Democrats in congress cannot come up with a bi-partisan solution.

"HwyRovr". I appreciate your correcting my error. I apologize for any confusion.

"HwyRovr" -Thank you for quoting me because, as I said, proper spelling and grammar are important for effective communication. However, I am concerned about your obsession with me that borders on the maniacal. I once found it humorous, but now it has become disturbing because you don’t seem to have anything to actually say and quoting me after I have pointed out an error and apologized for it would appear to be more of homage to me and that is disturbing. Honestly, I do not need your approval.
