Editor: Many would say our diversity is what makes America great. Certainly our diversity enhances our life experiences, but clearly what makes America great as compared to the other nations of the world are the personal freedoms of speech and action. To protect and preserve those freedoms are our system of laws. From our earliest days we learn to follow the rules and the laws. We raise our hand, we don’t cut in line and we don’t take other’s property. We respect law and order.
Imagine the chaos that would ensue if we had no traffic control laws. What if each driver could decide where they would drive and how fast? How about the rules that control the comings and goings of aircraft? What if each pilot decided his own route, speed and altitude? No rules or laws controlling the actions of boats on our lake? Visualize a multi-engine power boat navigating through Thompson Bay toward the bridge at a hundred miles per hour.
Clearly all of these scenarios would result in chaos. And yet large numbers of people want to eliminate laws regarding immigration. They want open borders. They would allow the people of the world to walk right in and participate in our country’s largess. Chaos? Chaos isn’t a big enough word.
