The Lake Havasu Little League Majors Diamondbacks lost their Tournament of Champions championship game 13-9 against Needles in Blythe, California on Wednesday at Todd Field.

Lake Havasu defeated Kingman North 10-8 in the quarterfinals on Monday and then took down Blythe in the semifinals 6-4 on Tuesday to advance to the championship.

The eight-team tournament featured teams from both Arizona and California located near the Colorado River.

In other news, Lake Havasu All-Star tournaments will begin shortly.

The 8-10 year old team will begin play on Monday in Kingman. The 9-11 year old team will start on Thursday, June 20 in Kingman and the 11-12 year old team will begin on Monday, June 24 in Lake Havasu.
