Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation opened its fall sports registration for flag football, cheer and tennis.

Local youth enrolled in first through sixth grade can now register for either flag football or cheer through Sept. 6.

The cost is $52 per participant and includes either a t-shirt for flag football players or pompoms for cheerleaders.

Practice locations, days and times may vary due to volunteer coaches’ availability, but practice schedules will be announced by Sept. 20.

The season runs through from Sept. 23 through Nov. 9 and game schedules will be determined following registration.

Registration is also open to children ages 8 to 13 who are interested in tennis lessons.

Lessons are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and run from Sept. 3 to Sept. 26.

Participants must bring a tennis racket and wear tennis shoes to each lesson.

The cost is $80 per participant.

These programs are great ways for children to learn the game, develop skills and play in a safe and fun environment. All levels focus on player development, sportsmanship and having fun.
